Borrowing from Other Libraries

Borrowing privileges at Ontario Colleges

Students, staff and faculty may borrow in person from any other Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology library.  See the Direct Borrowing Agreement [pdf] for more information.

Interlibrary loans & document delivery services

If you are a full or part-time student, faculty, or staff member and you would like to borrow an item that is not available at any of the Centennial College libraries, please discuss this request with library staff. Please note that we do not submit requests to borrow books that are currently designated course textbooks.

If we do not have similar material that will meet your needs, we will request items from other Ontario colleges and universities for you.

  • Books: delivery may take up to several weeks, depending on the item's availability
  • Journal articles & documents: delivery is normally around three days, but can be longer, depending on the source. TIP: To see if Centennial Libraries have the article you want (either in paper for electronic format), go to our full text journal list.
  • Costs: the Libraries cover the cost of obtaining materials through these partnerships, but will charge users a recovery fee for journal articles ordered but not picked up.

Interlibrary loan staff at other libraries: We reserve the right to approve requests based on current needs of Centennial College faculty, staff, and students.  Please contact illocen@centennialcollege.ca to submit your request.
