What is ASPIRE+?
Academic Supports Promoting Independence, Resilience and Empowerment (ASPIRE+) is a fun and engaging program for students on suspension that will empower you to be an independent and active learner.
How can it help me?
You will learn essential study skills that will help you manage your course load, study effectively and achieve good grades.
How do I know if ASPIRE+ is right for me?
If you have difficulty balancing school, work and life, leave course work to the last minute, have difficulty remembering course content and want to improve your grades, then ASPIRE+ is right for you!
What will I learn?
Some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Time management
- Note taking
- Test preparation and test taking strategies
- Reading comprehension
- Dealing with procrastination
- Active learning strategies
In addition to these topics, this program includes guest speakers and Lunch & Learns that will address some of the following topics:
- Financial Literacy
- Career Planning: Am I in the right program?
What is the class schedule?
ASPIRE+ is a 10-week program with weekly classes at your choice of location: Progress Campus on Tuesdays or Ashtonbee Campus on Wednesdays, both from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Start Date: Week 3
Course hours: 4 hours a week, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Will I have to pay to attend ASPIRE+?
No. Participating in the program is FREE.
I'm on Probation. Can I join?
Yes. We have a separate program for students on probation. Please contact a Learning Strategist at learning.strategies@centennialcollege.ca for more information.
Who delivers ASPIRE+?
The ASPIRE+ program is delivered and supported by a team of learning professionals at Centennial College. These include Learning Strategists, Pathways Advisors, and Success Advisors.
What are the expectations if I participate in this program?
Participants are expected to attend all classes, complete assignments, attend Lunch and Learn Workshops, and complete surveys and assessments as required.
If I'm on suspension, will my suspension be released if I participate in ASPIRE+?
Re-admission into programs is generally granted (though not guaranteed) after two semesters of suspension, based on requirements to meet with a Success Advisor and complete an Application for Re-Admit or Transfer. However, some programs may release students from suspension early upon succesful completion of the ASPIRE+ program. Please reach out to your school for more information.
