The Math Drop-in service is available online for students while Centennial College campuses are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can book appointments with Math Strategists, Math Tutors, find lessons on the Math Website, and visit the Math Drop-in virtual online room to get help with math.
How to Access Math help and the Online Math Drop-in:
1. Students can book an appointment with a Math Learning Strategist online through our tutor booking system: https://library.centennialcollege.ca/learning-centre/book-an-appointment/. After logging in, you can find the Math Learning Strategists by clicking on "Strategies - Study Skills and Math" from the drop down menu.
2. Students may also directly book our Math Drop-in tutors online through our tutor booking system: https://library.centennialcollege.ca/learning-centre/book-an-appointment/. After logging in, you can find the Math tutors by clicking on your specific Campus Learning Centre from the drop down menu. The tutors will be using Teams as an interface to meet online with students. You do not need the Teams app in order to participate in the meeting. A link will be provided so that you can meet with your tutor.
3. Visit our Math Website at https://libraryguides.centennialcollege.ca/mathhelp/. The website includes mini math lessons on various math topics with examples, videos, and extra practice questions for your Centennial Math course.
4. For quick math help, students can also go to our Math Drop-in Centre Discord channel which can be found at https://discord.gg/7mh3jFm. Once joined, you will speak to a Math Learning Strategist, where you can ask questions and discuss your problems. If you have questions that cannot be quickly answered, you will be connected with a tutor in a one-to-one meeting via Teams.
